Day 1: Welcome to Bogota

Welcome to Bogotá. Located at 2.600 meters above sea level, this capital of 8 Million people is the biggest city in Colombia and heart of the impressive El Dorado legend. At your arrival, reception in ElDorado Airport by our staff, you will be transferred to the selected hotel. Depending on the arrival time you can arrange an extension tour. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 2: Discover Bogota

Discover Bogotá, its new side, and the old face in its historic center, La Candelaria. This part of the city conserves essential buildings from the colonial times, which boasts bustling plazas, churches, and museums. Passing through Bolivar Square, here is located the presidential palace, and the Capitol, also, it is a valuable reference point because in this square most important historical events of the country had occurred. Then, continue to Museo Botero, a colonial house with artworks from the famous Colombian painter Fernando Botero. Continue to the Mint House, which exhibits gorgeous pieces art from colonial times; the Gabriel Garcia Marques Cultural Centre, which was built to honor the Colombian Nobel literature and El Chorro de Quevedo, the place where was founded Santa Fe de Bogota. Continue this walk to discover the Golden Museum and its fantastic collection of gleaming gold pre-Hispanic artifacts and precious stones. It is considered the most significant gold collection in the world, where you will see how the pre-Hispanic societies used gold and other metals. Any visit to Bogota is not complete without visiting Monserrate Hill, using the cableway to obtain an extraordinary panoramic view of the city. At the end of the tour, leisure time to explore other wonders of Colombia's capital. Overnight in Bogota.

Day 3: UNESCO Coffee Cultural Landscape

Transfer to El Dorado Airport to take the flight to the Coffee Cultural Landscape. Arrive in Armenia, reception, and move to the typical coffee farm for your accommodation. The coffee region is an area full of green views coming from the coffee, banana and fruits plantations that you will familiarize knowing by first-hand. Get your energy up to live the experience as Coffee farmer for one day, get involved with every step to create the perfect cup of coffee, from the harvesting to the roast and everything in between, made it by your hands. Moreover, taste different special coffees types. Transfer to your accommodation and the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Salento.

Day 4: Cocora Valley and Salento

In the morning, enjoy a fabulous horseback riding in Cocora Valley, an impressive landscape surrounded by wax palms, a very particular palm that grows around 60 meters and it is unique from this region. After the adventure, taste a delicious and fresh dish made by local ingredients, surrounded by the relaxing mountains view. Then, a walk around the picturesque town Salento and its oriel, to get a full view of Quindio River. Overnight in Salento.

Day 5: Salento to Guatape

Breakfast and land transfer to Guatape. Located on the west side of the Andes Cordillera, Guatape is a small town that represents tranquillity and kindness for life. The tour starts climbing around 500 steps of the big stone called “El Peñol,“ to get a stunning view of this beautiful dam. Then, enjoy a boat trip across the dam to the “fantasy island,” after, enjoy a tasty lunch and delightful juices of tropical fruits in front of the dam and finish with a lovely walk along the vibrant little streets. Overnight in Guatape, 

Day 6: Discover Medellin

Medellin is the second largest city in Colombia, has 2 million inhabitants and is a vital fashion center in Latin America. During the tour will explore the two faces of the city, its past marked by violence and the painful legacy of the eighties and, then, the positive transformation into a dynamic city that was selected as one of the most innovate cities in the world.

Begin the experience in Botero Square, where are exposed statues famous for its enormous proportions. Continue to the Paisa Little Town, passing through the hotspot, where is condensed the Botanical garden, the Planetarium, Los Deseos Park, Pies Descalzos Park, and Explora Park. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Medellin.

Day 7: Medellin

In the morning, get a 360ª view of the city from the cableway, visit Spain Library and Arvi Park, a vital area for environmental conservation. Then, walk along the park to arrive in Santa Helena, a district where flowers cultivations had been grown during many generations, here is where the famous Silletas are handmade, that every August adorn the Medellin streets in a big parade called "Feria de las Flores" or Flower Festival. Experience with a local family the stories of the festival, its lifestyle and the creation of gorgeous Artcraft. Finally, try the typical local dish called Bandeja Paisa, a flavorsome peasant recipe, which contains a lot of ingredients and despite its simplicity, catches hearts. Return to the city and the rest of the afternoon is at leisure.  Overnight in Medellin.

Day 8: Santa Marta

Transfer to Medellin airport to get flight connection to Santa Marta. At your arrival at the airport, you will be received by your tour guide.  Considering that Santa Marta was the first city founded in Colombia in 1.525, places as a remarkable place in Colombia's history. So, here is where a formidable cultural and historical tour begins, visiting the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where lies the tomb of Simon Bolivar, a leading military who fights for the independence of Spanish rule. Later on, delicious drinks and delectable seafood are ready for lunch. After, walk along the beautiful pier, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Convent, the monument of Carlos “El Pibe,” and finished in the magnificent Taganga Bay.   Overnight in Taganga with ocean view. 

Day 9: Tayrona National Natural Park

Tayrona National Park apart from its dazzling beauty is vital for its biological and archaeological wealth. This natural park is located in the Santa Marta Mountain range, the largest coastal mountain in the world, where only 46 kilometres, is possible to go from 0 m.a.s.l to 5.775 m.a.s.l, concentrating high level of endemism of flora and fauna that are unique to the continent. Moreover, is the ancestral home for the Tayronas indigenous that built ceremonial temples and sacred places to live in harmony with nature. This day take pleasure in an enjoyable boat ride to Playa Cristal. The largest coral area of the Park is situated here, so you can snorkel to observe the coral reefs and relax on the breath-taking beach. On the way, a stop is made in The Seven Waves beach from which you can enjoy a stunning bay view. Overnight in Tayrona Park.

Day 10: Cartagena UNESCO Historical Centre

At 9:00 a.m. land transfer to Cartagena. This journey lasts approximately 4 hours along the Caribbean highway, which is a road that connects the Colombian Caribbean coast from east to west.  Situated in a bay, Cartagena has the most extensive fortifications in South America, therefore deserved to be Unesco Heritage.   In the afternoon, the tour begins in the beautiful Walled City to discover the charm of its streets, music, energy, dances, monasteries, churches, parks, convents, houses and people. Next, see over the Castillo de San Felipe, an impressive military fortress built by the Spanish in the colonial period. Last, go up to Cerro de la Popa to have an extraordinary view of Cartagena charm and a bright sunset.  Overnight in the old town in Cartagena.

Day 11: Cartagena time

A day at leisure to connect you with the colorful, contrasting and exciting city because Cartagena brings almost at every person a different charm, either the music, sky tints or hot beat. An optional recommended tour is Emerald workshop (Not included) due to Colombia is the largest producer of this gems, in this experience can learn about the jewel process and make your small piece of art with genuine emerald. Lastly, enjoy a farewell in a Chiva Party Bus with local music and mouth-watering snacks during a two hours round in the city.

Day 12: Cartagena - Bogotá

Transfer to Rafael Nunez International Airport to take the domestic flight to Bogota and later your international flight connection. Safe trip back home.
