Itinerary

Day 1: Bogota Welcome to Eldorado Airport. Accommodation. The activities of this day may vary depending on the arrival time. 

Day 2: Leticia - Towards the Amazon rainforest Transfer to the airport for your flight from El Dorado to Leticia. The program in the jungle is focused on eco and ethic tourism, designed to provide opportunities for knowledge, real adventure, cultural exchange and close contact with nature. Geographically this area represents the tri-border heart (Colombia - Peru - Brazil) of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 3: Puerto Nariño - Birdwatching Walking tour to observe birds with a specialized guide. Walking in the jungle and visit the homes of indigenous tribe Huitoto maloka of the river Takana. Cultural Exchange where you will appreciate traditional food crops and indigenous architecture, observe or participate in the rituals of coca and tobacco. Hike and climb the jungle canopy, tree climbing platforms at 35 m height.

Day 4 - 5: Paddling down the Amazon River Paddling through the Yahuarcaca river, there you can make the observation of floodplain forest, the famous Victoria Regia lotuses, other herbaceous, aquatic birds and pink dolphins. From here, we will go by boat towards Zacambu Lakes, this part is located on the Amazon River in Peru.

Day 6: Leticia - Bogotá Transfer to the airport to get the flight to Bogota. Free night to relax.

Day 7: Bogotá - El Cocuy Natural Park In the morning visit to Monserrate Hill to get a full view of Bogotá and also the National Museum. About 19:00 transfer to the bus terminal Salitre in Bogotá and gets the public bus en towards El Coc- Town in Boyaca Department. Overnight on the bus.

Day 8: El Cocuy Town El Cocuy National Park has been considered to be one of the best places to pass trekking routes in Latin America, with many peaks higher than 5000 meters. In this park you can find countless glaciers, rivers, and lagunes of crystal clear water, and “frailejones”, a typical Andean plant found at altitudes above 3000 meters. Arrival in El Cocuy early in the morning. Overnight in El Cocuy Park.

Day 9: El Cocuy National Natural Park Beginning of an acclimatization trek to the route of the “Cuatro Cascadas” (four waterfalls), getting known to the mountains and trails. Overnight in El Cocuy Park.

Day 10: Trekking in Andes Mountains This journey contains two parts: The horse-riding and the hike with 3 hours of ascent and 2 hours of descent, passing through a single trail surrounded by wonderful mountains, valleys between glaciers and wetlands. Arriving at the snow edge at 5.000 meters above the sea at the Púlpito del Diablo. Free time to enjoy the landscape views. Return to the cabins, time to rest with a campfire and a hot drink. Overnight in El Cocuy Park. 

Day 11: El Cocuy - Bogota During the day visit some of the Lakes around according to the physical condition. In the night transfer back to Bogota. Overnight on the Bus.

Day 12: Bogota Arrival to Bogota in the morning, free time and overnight in Bogota.

Day 13: Bogota - Santa Marta Transfer to the airport to get a flight connection to Santa Marta AV9774 at 11:35. The cultural and historical tour begins, visiting the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the monument of Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama, Santa Marta Bay and transfer to the cabins. Overnight in Tayrona Park.

Day 14: Tayrona National Natural Park Boat ride for ten minutes from Neguanje to Playa Cristal. The largest coral area of the Park is situated here, and you can snorkel to observe the coral reefs. The Seven Waves beach from which visitors can enjoy an amazing landscape. Overnight in Tayrona Park.

Day 15 - 17: Caribbean time Explore the wonderful landscape. From there you get to nearby beaches and enjoy the beautiful bays. Overnight in Tayrona Park.

Day 18 - 19: Cartagena Early in the morning land transfer to Carta- gena. Situated in a bay in the Caribbean Sea, Cartagena has the most extensive fortifications in South America, therefore deserved to be Unesco Heritage. In the afternoon, the tour begins in the Walled City to discover the charm of its streets and get involved in the history of American colonial history, through the old center and monasteries, the Convento de la Popa, the Castillo de San Felipe, a military fortress built by the Spanish in the colonial period.

Day 20: Cartagena - Bogotá: Transfer to Rafael Nunez International Airport to take the domestic flight to Bogota, to take the international flight.
